Precision woodcrafting benchrest stocks

I'm beginning the process of building a benchrest 22. Action will be a 2500x. Probably a Shilen barrel. My question is on stocks. For whatever reason, it seems like higher end stock availability is not too good. I'm considering a Precision Woodcrafting Dymalux, but I have not found any reviews. Anyone have any experience with them?
Thanks.

They are one of the most used stocks in high end rimfire BR. For a 2500x you won't find a better stock. Randy makes them in Jerry's shop (where the 2500x's are made). Jerry made the tooling for the bedding so it's as good as you will get for fit and Randy is good to work with. You will still have a wait, but they are great stocks.

ARA Outdoor Nationals was just won by a 2500x in a Dymalux stock.

Listen to Hozzie. One of my shooting buds has one on his 2500x and one on his iron sight Anschutz. Herb seldom loses.

I was considering calling Jerry and see about just having them bed the action and barrel in the stock. I assume they do that?

If you have a 2500x the stock will come bedded and ready to go without sending them the action. Just call Randy and tell him you have a 2500x and want to get a stock. He'll get you taken care of.

I've got one. They come in half stocks or full stocks width.
I got the half stock..... I shoot on a one piece rest. The rear was way low. Cliff Arnold's rest can be fitted with a taller rear. Idk about others.
Using a two piece the rear has to have spacers under them to make y up the difference.

Also, Do not go by the pictures on his web site. When he cuts them the colors may or may not come to the top as shown in the pics.
Id suggest pics of ones in stock then pick from them.

Mine was supposed to be allot lighter colors.

Randy suggested waiting on the color until he actually builds the stock. So, I will make sure to pick from what he has currently available then.
I have a PQP rest made by Stiller in the same shop where these stocks are made, so I will make sure to ask about that too. Thank you for the info!

I purchased one from Randy for my 2500. Works great. It comes bedded ready to bolt on. Mine shoots great with this stock. I personally really like the slim profile. It works better with my hand bag because it is lower. Mine is walnut and the color turned out well.

I just got off the phone with Randy, I'm #65 in line. I think I am leaning towards the wood as well. I have time to decide, probably after the holidays before he will start on it. He says the half will ride a bit low in the PQP rest I have, so, I was thinking I might go with the full width.

To be clear, they aren’t different widths. The rear of the stock is either high profile or low profile. I personally only use low profile as I like the lower center of gravity. To each his own in this manner. Just wanted to make sure we use the correct term. Width is not different on either profile.

Yes, I understand. Poor choice of words on my part. Randy did mention about 2/3 of the stocks he makes are low profile. I'm hoping I can find someone local over the next few months and get one of Randy's newer stocks in hand.

I was looking at Randy's page last night. Colors from plain to the bizzarre. I'm almost certain a walnut or dark rosewood will be my preference.

Thanks again for the info, it's appreciated.

I know it's a long way but I live in Jacksonville if you want to make the drive up.

We could
Thanks for the offer. Do you shoot at Gateway?
That's a little over 2 hours from me. Not terrible.
We could work it to meet at Gateway and you could shoot mine. 2500X, Shilen, Harrell tuner. We have a match on the 1st so I wont shoot it much before that. I won the IR 50/50 match A last time with a 749-52X. So I'm mostly shooting my Turbo until next week. If you decide you want to make the trip just let me know. Anytime after first would probably work. I shoot most Monday's and Friday's. Good luck in your build.

Thanks. I will try and fit it into my schedule. You have the exact rifle I'm looking to build. I'm thinking the Nov 1st match may work better for me.

I'm also having trouble finding a top notch gunsmith to do the action/barrel work. I called a few this morning. Either they are not taking on any more work or it is 6 months minimum.

I've seen several full stocks at Kettle foot. They were nice. Reminded me of
F class stocks.
