Obituary​

Sandra Marie Long, age 65, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 with her husband of 29 years, and caregiver of 8 years, Ronald, by her side.
Sandra was born in Oklahoma to Charles and Sarah Kay. She grew up in Anderson, South Carolina and attended Anderson Junior College. She married her best friend, Ronald Long, 1992 and relocated to the CSRA.
Sandra was a woman of deep faith and a devoted member of Republican Baptist Church in Clarks Hill. Her husband would like to thank her ladies Sunday School class for everything they did for the Longs the past 8 years.
Sandra and Ronald loved traveling; the pair shared regular weekend adventures together for years. They both enjoyed spending time outdoors. Sandra gardened and liked walking and exercising on their property.
Sandra is survived by her husband Ronald; her parents Charles and Sarah Kay; a daughter, Dawn Yeargin, and her grandson Keylan, who was the light of her life; step-daughters Rebecca Johnson (Stan) and Rachel Wilson (Justin); grandchildren Reese, Olivia, Brooks, and Charlotte; a brother, Alan Kay; and a sister, Elaine Kay.
A visitation will be held at Republican Baptist Church on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 3:30 p.m.; a funeral service will begin at 4:00, the Rev. Lance Thomas officiating. Interment in the church cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Republican Baptist Church, 610 Republican Rd, Clarks Hill, SC 29821.
