Guys, while coming back from celebrating my 25 year olds birthday, we learned my MIL wasn't doing well. After rushing to her home we found her confused and weak, not able to stand. 911 had been called by my BIL and she was rushed to the hospital. My wife is a nurse, dropping me an the 16 year old off I asked what was her take on the situation - she called stroke through tears and that is what it was. Transferred 90 miles away to a better hospital she has undergone carotid artery surgery and the Dr. cannot accurately predict the damage or the outlook. We will see in the coming days.

My wife made the 1 1/2 hour drive back late last night. The procedure to remove the clot and install a stint was successful on one side. The other side, the artery had clogged, rerouted blood flow and then died. Our bodies can be amazing. In any case, MIL is alert and some of her stroke symptoms have abated. We are cautiously optimistic but know she isn't out of the woods yet. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. Much appreciated.
