Prayers Needed for My Uncle, WWII Vet

Paul:

My thoughts and prayers are with you regarding your uncle. My dad had a stroke yesterday and is in the hospital. He may never walk again. He too is a WWII vet.

The thoughts of getting old are not to good but the thoughts of not getting any older are not to good either.

We celebrated Ed's 92nd birthday last week. He's in good health and hopes to be fitted with a prosthesis soon. The big problem is that he feels "useless" because he can't drive, work with tools etc. I learned a little more about the original accident, that can teach us all some lessons. My uncle is getting deaf and he apparently did not hear his lathe running. That started a series of bad decisions which lead to the accident.

Paul,
I hate to hear or read things like this! Right here in town not a mile from my house. There was a machinist that ran a machine shop as long as I can remember. I can remember My grandfather taking me their years ago to have work done on his Bush hogs, combine headers, plow blades, planters, etc. About 5 years ago the Man died in his shop while working. He was 95 when this happen. He still work a min. of 50hr a week untill that day. I always admired an had the up most respect for MR. Walford simply because of his work ethics! My Grandfather as well passed when he was 89 died on his tractor while plowing a 1 acre garden. I remember him fussing because he couldn't plant a bigger garden. The one acre garden that my grandfather planted in his med 80s feed our entire family! (So to speak) If we bought things from the grocery store that grandpa growed in his garden he would fuss about us wasting money. We all laughed about it at the time. Now we all know exactly why he fussed about it! I can only hope and pray that Our family holds strong to our heritage and what this hard working honest man tried so hard to past on to us (the family). Both My grandfather, and Mr. Walford were both WWII vets. Most likely why I get so mad at the ones that just want go to work and earn what they want or need! I can't stand laziness! Witch seems to be more present now than ever!

From the Hunsucker/Varner Family our thoughts and Prayers go out to you and your family! We'll pray for your uncle to be able to at the least find some happiness for the remaining time he has left! If that time isn't very long. Believe it! He will do what he has always love to do in Heaven!! He certainly has earned it!!!!
