My wife and I both had the vaccine and booster due to our age (yeah, maybe not the greatest idea) and never contracted it until September 2022 when it was the milder variant, but still not fun. Take heart in the fact that the new oral treatment that prohibits it from producing more live viral cells helps get over it pretty quickly as the older cells die off and there's nothing live to replace them, especially if treated early like my wife. Between putting it off a day and pharmacy snafu's at two different ones, I was 4 days into it when there's only a 5 day window for the medication and it was raging. Still got me much better within 5 days and in 10 days I was negative. My wife had the same pharmacy issues so I gave her my 4th dose and replaced it the next day when we got hers and she was better by the second day after starting the prescription. Hope Tony recovers well from it, but not as much as he does obviously!

Agree. It’s called paxlovid. I was negative at day six but took another few to get my stamina back.

Just found out this morning that Tony Boyer has got Covid. Of course he refuses to seek medical help. Anyone that know him knows that he is pigheaded. Wish him well that's all I can say.

Me too! Practically cured me in 30 minutes after taking one dose. Had sinus symptoms for about 12 hrs, so I Took 2 seperate (Hospital) brand Covid test my girlfriend had because she was a nurse at the hospital and both brands showed I was positive. Didn’t believe it because I just felt like sinuses were stopped up. Watched fever spike from 98.6 to 100 back to 98.6 in 30 minutes. Was 95% better within one hour or less. Went to bed an hour later for the night and woke up 100% better the next morning. Took second dose in the morning and that was it. Haven’t had any loss of taste or smell. Doctor I told this story to wouldn’t even listen to me. Have never had vaccinations and the rest of my immediate family have had vaccinations and were fairly sick for a week or more.

Get well Tony. I hope you got a mild systems version. I always was a fan. I hope you were vaccinated it's a life saver. I think I may have had it. I was very tired and weak for 1 day. The next day I felt normal so I dismissed it I had all 5 shots.

You left out ear wax...that's the key to a bomb-proof immune system.

I grew up on the pharm. We had broiler houses in addition to hogs/cows/horses. I worked barefoot when the weather allowed (most of the time in SEGA) and can still imagine the feel of chicken squeezins pushing up bw my toes. Thinking about it, that might be why I wear a size 15.

Tony still has Covid but he's been getting out of the house jumping in his car and has been taking his lady friend out to eat. He hates being in the house. He's like a caged animal. Not the smartest thing to do IMO but I'm not him.
