Praire Dog Hunting slow motion at 1000 fps

Well then, if I can't be at my bench behind my rifle shooting rats, this is certainly a great way to stay entertained at home seeing 'rat-o-batics' in slow-mo without even getting into my truck and taking a trip. And NO reloading when I get home either!

EXCELLENT!
Great vid Mark, thanks for posting.

Red mist at it's finest! Used to shoot a farm North of Kennebec in the 80's that had the biggest, fattest, uneducated p-dogs that were on the planet. 100 yard shots, hold low in the belly and you could get them launched in the air a good 6 feet with a 22-250 and the 52 grain Speer hp. o_O:cool: Most fun you can have with your clothes on!

Nice! And I agree with your last sentence too!

Reading that made me remember this pic of what I term "PD utopia". It was shamelessly lifted from a post here many years ago, but still fun to share and imagine such scenes in our collective future. Sure hope so.

Rick I have that was save also... That's the exact reason to bring some spare barbed wire, gloves and staples.. Haha..

Somewhere on here a guy was asking “what do you do with your varmints”.

Vaporizing them is best, love the video, makes me want to shoot prairie dogs again. Unfortunately getting tougher to do with the business it has become because people pay for the experience.

Rick - used to shoot Belding squirrels around Alturas, and some of the fields would look like that in the spring! Smaller targets, but good practice for aiming small. P-dogs looked like beachballs after shooting those little skippers!:D
