Praire Dog Hunting slow motion at 1000 fps

Please correct me, but I think what we are seeing are different refractions of light bending through pressure. I believe this is called bullet trace...
Irregaurdless ( aint no such word) it is amazing to see and the effect of a Vmax on a grass filled varmint.

A 223 that hits so hard the dog leaves the field of view of the scope for what seems like 30 minutes, OK a long time, I am not sure I am buying this. Ive shoot G hogs with a 22-250 and I've never seen anything like this.

Did you notice the speed of the bullets in each rifle that is posted at the start of the videos? IIRC, 223AI with TNT's at 3100 fps or so, don't remember the 6mm 87g vmax velocity. I watched several of the shooter's videos, and I did notice a couple of solid hits but the bullets did not expand much or any. Dead pdog, but just knocked it down. I assumed those might have been some longer range shots.
