Powder

I recently bought powder from Midway USA and the plastic bottles had no tamper proof air tight seal They in the past had this has anyone recently bought powder from Midway USA

I have been buying powder since 1979...never seen a new bottle that didn't have a seal intact. I would weigh it. It sounds like someone bought it, tried a few loads and returned it.
Midway has always been 110% with me. I had a big order get lost in shipping. They sent me another next day air. Of course the first one showed up finally a few days later. I called to return it and they said, "you can just keep it".

Give them a phone call, ask them about it and then you will know if it is okay or if they want it back. Bill K

the seals on the bottles come loose at times,I've had it happen to me. Not to many places will take powder back, I won't, no way. When I get a shipment in I always make sure the
tops are on tight when I price them, it's about all I can do.

I do not know of any business that would let you return powder, ammo, or primers. And truthfully, if I knew that some business was doing this, I would never buy from them.

I understand. On the other hand I would hope Midway would allow him to return an opened can of powder and not consider reselling it. Returning it is not the problem...it's reselling it that wont fly.
I don't think I would even try powder that I received and showed evidence of being possibly tampered with. I doubt any reloader would do something stupid to harm someone else, but in the current country we live in......well, we aren't all reloaders and shooters.

I have bought some powders recently that had a seal on the screw cap that had to be broken, but no glued on seal over the mouth of the bottle. Back in the day, I used to by 30 pound cannisters of powder, which were just wrapped paper like a form for a cement footing.

Agree 100%, resale is what I left out.

Check the inside of the lid for the seal.

Several of my Hodgdon bottles have had the seal halfway to fully loose upon the first uncapping. A few have had the seal stay attached to the bottle, completely adhered all around - not many though.

If you received one that was open, you should contact Midway the day you received it. I'm sure they would make it right, especially if you've be a good customer.
