My old chargemaster 1500 is on its last legs i think, making strange sounds. Which of the ones in this price range would you replace it with.

I'm a Harrell's thrower fan. But in fairness, it's the only thrower I've tried.

Strange sounds is business as usual for auto throwers lol. That being said, I still use my chargemaster. The Frankford "intellidroppers" are pretty hit and miss.

I picked up a used Chargemaster here, and I see them here and there around $200 or a little above. I had a FA Intellidropper it was great until it wasn't. IT did not last very long, neat features but meh it was a no buy again for me. Lyman gen6 was ok too but I wasn't that happy with it. I like the Chargemaster 1500 with the programming update and an aluminum insert.
Buddy has a Hornady he set up likes it.

For the higher budget the V4 and a FX120i are the cats Azz

I'm a retired mechanic, i know the difference between strange sounds and STRANGE sounds. Lol this one has seen better days! It's like me, old and tired

It is a mechanical device, sooner or later it wears out.

I use my ChargeMaster Lite a lot. I also have a spare so when it finally pukes, I have a backup.

I also carry my 30 year old Bruno Powder Thrower in my range box so if at a Match, and the modern whiz bang stuffs quiets, I can always depend on it to do the job.

I’m one of these shooters that care for nothing about all of the “functions” on these “modern” chargers, especially the round count. All I want it to do is throw accurate charges at the range where I do all of my loading.
