Powder Suggestions for .260 Rem with Short (20") Barrel

I'm shooting a 20" barrel with 1 in 8 twist rate. Was hoping someone had some experience with a specific powder for me. I'll be shooting 120 and 130 gr bullets. Was thinking that I might need a faster burning powder. This is for 300 yard target shooting.

Many Thanks in advance,

Joel

I shot some 120 speers, over varget, and it was really accurate. I did not chrono that particular load, though. It should be good in a short barrel.

I used Re 19 for years with great results with 120-140 bullets and Re 15 for 100's. I now use 4000 MR for 120- 140's because it is real cheap and meters good. I have a good load using AR Comp with 100's but AR Comp costs more than 4000MR. I would guess something like H4350 would be optimum for challenging shooting events. 2 weeks ago I was able to buy 2 lbs. of H4350 and it is reserved for special uses.

27 inches (looks like some drain pipe) and 24 inches - 1-9 twist
