With a reputation of 6.5x284 as a barrel burner would any of those powders offer advantage as to longer barrel life?
VV-165 is, a "cool" burning powder and the newly issued stuff is also, "Temp insensitive" !
Might try staying, slightly below Max, to help with, Barrel "Life", a bit.
IT would be, the FIRST Powder that, I would try !
I've gotten, the best, SD's and smallest groups with, Berger's and N-160 in, a .243 Win.
I have, a "Barrel Burning" , .270 WSM and, I shoot IMR 7828 at, 3,180 FPS in it and I try not to worry about, barrel life, as it should last me, my lifetime for, Steel Target Practice, Elk / Moose,.. since I'm, 74 y/o ! LOL !
