Powder Measure

Can any one recommend a good powder measure? I will primarily be dispensing stick powders like varget and Reloader 22. I just bought the rcbs but haven't decided if it was a good one to have or not...any suggestions would be appreciated.

I own a Harrels and a Redding and neither will throw big stick powders reliably. I will get as much as a 3gr spread with Varget and H4350.

I had read a few posts about it and figured I might as well try it: the Lee Perfect Powder Measure. There are a lot of things to not like about it, but it does a very good job of throwing accurate loads. I haven't given it a thorough test yet, but I used it to throw 500 fireforming loads for a .17AH and everyone I checked was within a tenth,'cause that's all the better the scale on my ChargeMaster is supposed to be).

Besides, for around $20, how can you go wrong?

I have had a Lee perfect measurer and it was decent. I never checked how accurate it was, im sure it did an ok job and it wasnt for anything highly precise, however it was all plastic and was just kind of cheap,but like said, look at the price). I had problems with some spherical powder sticking and getting stuck in the center area because of static. I since have picked up an old Saeko that has a cast frame and machined aluminum for the measuring device, this thing has a nice metal knob with clicks and resolution down to a .006 grain, but it is from the 80's, back when cars were built like rocks too. Anyways, I got it from a trade show, if its a good one theres always oldtimers selling stuff like this at least at one stand. Well good luck!

I did a simple experiment about a month ago.. My 3-BR trying to throw a 42.2gr RE-15 load and my $20 Lee throwing a 6.5gr load of Unique... here are the numbers..
