Powder measure for 38-357

What's a good measure for hand gun besides the lee dippers. Can't afford much on a fixed income. Are the little dandy's any good? Thanks johnny

Lee has a great measure for pistol loads. I believe it's called precision perfect powder measure. It is very repeatable. Can be found for $25. You might put an add on this forum, someone may have one to get rid of. Good luck.

This...good value for your needs.

I've been happily using the small chambered rotor in a Uniflow for years. It works well with W231 or W244 & Unique which what I use for most pistol.

Little Dandy is a great measure, boringly accurate with normal pistol powders.
A Lee stand works great with it

I have a Harrell pistol powder measure I'd sell. PM me if you're interested.

I tried using the chargemaster and it had a hissy fit trying to start in the fast throw mode and instantly go to the slow trickle. I am not much of a handgun shot so I figured that the dippers were OK for what I was doing. But after i got to trying to use them I found that they were too small or too big for the charge I wanted to use. I saw that some on Cast Boolits were making dippers to the exact capacity they wanted. I have simplified it a little. I take a 9mm case and drill it perpendicular to the length through the extractor groove with a 1/8 drill bit. I them super glue a piece of 1/8 brazing rod into the hole and leave it about 6 inches long for a handle. I weigh a charge like I am going to use and drop it in the 9mm case, then mark the fill line on the side of the case. Belt sand off the excess and clean off the burrs and you have an exact scoop for the load you want to use. Many solder the rod in but its too much work when super glue or gorilla glue is all that is needed. I have 4 or 5 of these for different chamberings and loads. I know that many here will look down on this method as being to inaccurate, but from what I can see it works pretty well.

I experienced the exact same with my charge master. Got so frustrated, I gave it away.
I also have done the same with cases in 45, 40, 9, 380 and 32. Works great as long as you have a consistent scoop and "settling" technique.
Edit to add, theLee perfect powder measure scoop handles are so small, I struggle with holding them. It's confounding, considering that I eat with chopsticks every day.
