Hello All

Wanting to upgrade powder funnels, anybody know if zeke06 is still producing his. Have sent P/M does not reply.

Any other suggestions, would like to purchase from someone that supports the forum.

Thank you.

I am not familiar with that brand, but I can offer my experience in "upgrading" my powder funnel.

About 10 years ago, after about 40 years of hard use, the opening on my very old and worn plastic funnel had enlarged to the point where it wouldn't seal over a small diameter neck of the 223 Rem. So I decided to purchase an "upgrade", one of those metal funnels with a caliber specific brass fitting. It certainly looked much nicer and more professional than those "cheap" universal plastic funnels but that where it stopped.

From the very beginning, I was disappointed. First, I couldn't see the powder in the funnel without bending my head over the loading tray to identify a clog. Second, unless I positioned the brass fitting perfectly, it would leak powder.

So, after one frustrating loading session, I ordered a "cheap" universal MTM see through plastic funnel which has performed perfectly as my old one did before it wore out after 40 years of use. Sometimes an 'upgrade' goes sideways. o_O

When I switched to this funnel, I don't know how any other might be any better (all powders always flows very nicely into cases and never any static issues):

I have the precision hardcore funnels for most calibers and I have the 419 set, I prefer the 419 but both are quality funnels. I have one hardcore that is too tight for caliber and they wouldn’t take back, I still hold a grudge but they are good funnels. I bought some of those Zeke06 funnels because the price was such a deal, well thought out, nice fit and great design. I know when he first offered them he said it was a limited offering, demand was high and he made a couple more batches and then stopped. If he offers them again I’m sure he will sell plenty and make a bunch of people happy too.

As to what funnel offerings support accurateshooter I couldn’t tell ya.

Looks really nice, extremely spendy, powder ain't the only thing going swish. !
THANKS KiwiJohn
Yes I was a little hesitant, but I have seen no powder bridging in my mid 40s charge weights with powders from the likes of Varget. My powder loss due to odd kernels catching etc have gone away. It will pay for itself in about 25 yrs even less if prices go up....nah that can't happen...can it?

I got a 419 set very nice. Had Satern funnels before that but would of cost more if you had to buy a bunch of them.. If you can wait on a holiday area 419 usually have a sale..Sometimes they come up in classifieds but don’t last long…

Thanks guys, part of the reason for the post, no reply , so will be looking elsewhere, need several.

Thank you.

I ordered a 22 cal & 6mm funnel from Zeke 06 right before he decided not to do them anymore. These are the only funnels I use for those calibers now. I wish I would have went ahead and got a 20 cal, 7mm, and 30 cal while the getting was good.

I bought one of these for loading .223 and I think it's too heavy. It almost always turns the case over in the loading tray and I find myself loading at an angle. If I had a "do over" I'd buy a Satern.

If I need a drop tube ( 4" for the ppc with LT-32 ) I use the 419. With no drop, I use the Saturn, they are very light and stand up perfectly on top of my case.

Regards
Rick
