powder for case forming with cow

I have seen that most people use a fast powder such as bullseye or titewad for fire forming with cow and I was wondering if the same formula would work say for unique powder for forming 6.5 ai cases it is a fast powder but slower that bullseye. Just wondering if the 10% weight approx. would still work? as I have a lot of unique available. Also how often shood you clean the junk out of the barrel or how many cases can you do before you have to kleen and do you have to do a full fledge cleaning or just a few wet patches and dry?
also is it ok to use large rifle primers in place of pistol primers for the process?
Thank You RW

My experience of using Unique to fire form 6mmAI was that 10% wasn't nearly enough, but I would be advised to start there and work up. I know I was using 14.5 grains of Unique to form 7x57 RWS brass to 6mmAI and 15 grains for Win 6mm Rem.

I didn't clean the barrel for 50 shots and didn't have any problems but I did do it over a 1 hour period. If I were to do it again I think cleaning with a wet patch and a nylon brush would be sensible?

I used pistol primers to start with as I had them, but when they were gone I used some Remmington large primers and found no difference.

Do check inside the case for any burnt on COW, normally I found some traces left inside the shoulders.

Thank very much Elwood, I will use some old primers that I have had for quite a while and don't use. and the Unique I have lots of so that will make it very economical, Thanks again, RW
