Wow, no; not interchangeable; but powders that have similar burn rates so that one might choose something in near equivalent if the local store is out of stock.Would someone please verify this. If I understand the equivalents charts correctly W760, H414 and 4350 load data should be interchangeable. Thanks
Are you willing to be your life on it?I always heard H414 and W760 were the same but not interchangeable with 4350
Ah. But that's not the same as just saying they are equivalent. In this case, the manufacturer is providing specific load data.
Very different types of powder. cylinder(tubular) vs flat ball. The IMR 4350 should have less issues at starting loads.IMR4350 and a new can of W760

If it were me, I wouldn't assume they are directly interchangeable unless there is specific load data for the load I'm using.
To be on the safe side, a phone call or email to Hodgdon might prove to be useful since they publish loading data & distribute most of the powder in the US these days. Thanks guys. Maybe I should have started with this. - I have been reloading for many years and have never use "equivalent" powders but times are tough here in Alaska. Looking at http://www.adiworldclass.com.au/powder-equivalents/ it appears I could START with minimum loads and work up. I have a 6.8 Western and load data is hard to find right now and powders up here in the north is hard also. I've got a little IMR4350 and a new can of W760. Wanted a second opinion.

Regular 9 1/2s are pretty hot as it. Wouldn't surprise me if that was the recommendation vs a magnum.I looked at Hogdgon reloading data site they specified 9 1/2 primers but not the 9 1/2 M. I may have to try 760 with magnums and see what the difference is.
H414 and WW760 are the same powder sold under two different brand names, as are H110 and WW296. Western Powders does this with a couple of their products sold under the Accurate and Ramshot brands as well.Ah. But that's not the same as just saying they are equivalent.
