Powder choice for 6XC

Just like to get an idea of powder choices for the 6XC ready for when I get mine. I'll be using Bergers 88 varmint and 105 A-Max bullets.

RL-17 for me. You can load them light (2900 FPS) and get great accuracy or heavy (3225 FPS) shooting 105 Hybrids out of a Kreiger 30" Shot the heavy load at 1000 yds prone/sling twice this year and it's a flat shooting/ wind bucking round.

I think H4350 is pretty much your bread and butter powder for the 6XC... I had every intention of trying RE17 and 7828SSC, but it just shoots too darn well with H4350 to go looking anywhere else.

I'm knocking on 3100 with 39.8 H4350, 107SMK's on a Krieger 8 Twist, 4 grove, 29"

Mine's throated for those 105 class bullets so I have no input on the lighter bullets.

RL 17 has worked great for me.. I get 3,150 FPS from a 26" barrel. with a 105 VLD Hunting Bullet. after shooting it out to 700 yards and seeing how well it does never shot any lighter bullets..RL 17 does seem to work better in colder weather and gives more velocity. H4350 has shot great but at a lower velocity and with a big drop off in velocity in colder weather. I like them both but if I only had one powder it would be RL 17. I know quite a few guys shooting the RL 17 in several calibers and they love it..

+1 for H4350. I was also going to try RE17 but haven't found a reason to switch. Works great in my rifle for 87's and 105's.
