Possom Hollow Bore Guides

The possum hollow bore guides I have do not have a solvent port, they sell a separate insert that can be slotted into the bore guides:

Not knocking your solution, that works well too, just as a heads up

I have the separate solvent ports on my earliest guides. They work better if you epoxy them in permanently.

I called them a couple of weeks ago. Had a new bore guide in a few days. The fellow was super nice and quick to send the guide. I was very pleased.
I had the same experience about three weeks ago. I gave them a call, told them what I needed and I had it in six days. I am very happy with their response and service.

Yeah, I wanted a unicorn #233 (for 1885 22 hornet). Couldn’t find one anywhere. Sent an email to them. Took about 2 weeks for him to answer, asking me to call him. I did, and he was very helpful. I ended up ordering 3 different guides and had them less than a week later. I don’t mind waiting to talk to a real person.

The problem with that is that the guide needs to be long enough that the solvent port is situated behind the ocular lens rather than under it. My ports generally need to be 14" or more.

Not necessarily. Mine in under the scope, but when rotated to 45* it works fine.

I find it much more convenient, and spill less solvent when the port sits straight up and is located behind the ocular lends. This is how I ordered my last guide. Some of my older, less-friendly guides have taught me to specifically order what works best for my use.

This is almost a must have for M1A shooters. I ended up ordering one from Canada because I couldn't find a 30 caliber here in the states. $15.00 plus $25.95 shipping.

I got one for my CZ from amazon in 2 days-cheap can't get any easier
now if I wanted to wait for 3 weeks I would have ordered from Midway -their motto
Buy-Pay-Wait...and wait...and wait after I paid enough shipping to get it here Priority in two days ( 6oz package) they gave it to UPS who gave it to the post office --who said heck with that UPS transfer

I've had a 1/2 dozen sent to me directly from Possum Hollow. The postage is always $5 IIRC.
I'll email Eric and see if he responds. I noticed since Bill Gravatt left Brownells sinclair products hasn't been the same. Brownells $15.99 is ground then they charge the card another $10 claiming it has to go USPS priority mail.
