most new Lapua 6mm BR cases that I have used are ~ 1.555 out of the box,,,my reamer cuts a 1.555 chamber so it will support the case mouth and prevent the case from moving foreward during fire forming,,,I use Universal Clays (other similar powedrs will work) and a 1/4 square of toilet paper as a wadding to keep the powder in place,,,cream of wheat or any other ceral product is NOT necessary ,,,there is no gummy residue in the ctg.case or the bbl.....I use NO BULLET with this method and it gives no bbl wear,,,I have a bbl that I have fire formed aprox. 2000 ctg. brass and shows no measurable wear in the throat area from the fire forming process,,,(it had lots of wear and was retired and used for FF only and was measured when taken from service and that throat measurment has not moved since),,,,with this 1.555 chamber length you could FF using a bullet and a conventional load of powder if you like,,,,and my cases form (Blow) at ~1.540" which is .015 short of max and my ideal trim length from the start,,,usually I never have to trim ,,I chamfer the case mouths initially and shoot a no turn neck dia.....what could be simpler,,,,,,
