Portable shooting bench

Charlie,
I strongly recommend Coyote Jake's Shooting Bench, then also make the Shooting Buddy Rifle Rest. You can't beat this system in the PD towns. They're well built, extremely sturdy and portable. Contact David Krien 866-650-0760, web suite coyotejakes.com They also sell a convenient carry bag system I'd recommend getting. I've personally been using these products of seven years.

I just ordered one of the above. Makes sense to support board members that to support the Chinese or some faceless corporation.

Rhino, for the record Coyote Jake's Inc is a veteran owned small business, all components and products are hand built in U.S.A.!!!

Build your own...get some 3/4" ply wood...some 31" x 1.25" threaded pipe legs...the pipe brackets are the trick....but easy to make..here's mine shown with optional umbrella bracket...6BR w/Nikon 5-20 shown...

Wasn't ment to be a crack on his business...more of a statement in general.
Sorry if it was taken as such.

I purchased one of the Inventive Technology 360° Sharpshooter Bench from Cabelas. The top was too short so I made a new bigger top and it is an awesome set up. 360 degrees of turning with a pretty comfortable seat.

'Big Shooter' is the answer. http://www.thebigshooter.com/benches.cfm
This is by far the best bench I have used.
If you're looking for stability and accuravy from a portable bench,,, AGAIN,,, this is it.

I made a portable shooting bench simular to dog buster with 1 thicknes of 3/4" plywood. made a frame from 1-1/4 angle iron and welded the threaded pipe brackets to the metal frame then bolted the frame and top together. when you screw the legs on it is quite stable. it took about two hours to make and cost less than 30 bucks. ______treeman

I agree with rayfromtx and squirrelduster on the inventive technologies benches. I've shot on one in the dog towns for the past two years and couldn't be happier. Swivels 360 and sets up in a minute. The platform is a bit short but an easy fix. I'm sure there are better benches out there, but not for $215.

I've had several rotating benches over the last 10 years and the Big Shooter is the best.

I have a BR Pivot and it is the extremely stable and easy to use. Unfortunately, Varmint Masters is no longer making these benches. I think Caldwell has picked up the rights to manufacture the BR Pivot. I would highly recommend one of these.

So far I have not seen a portable bench that matches the ease of setup and stability of the BR Pivot.
