I know this has been beat up here, but, trying to order up some supplies for my dasher build. I'm new to the dasher, so not looking to re-invent the wheel. Want to basically follow tried and trued methods, also looking a die avalibility too. So taking a poll of sorts, trying to put my finger on the most popular method of the two listed above.
On the dies, FL or Neck. I neck size for most of my chambers. But also have to buy a body die too. Dont actually see a body die for the dasher. For the dasher, currently lookng at the Whidden die, the FL die. My thoughts here, in the 6BR info page, FL sizing is reccomended, so my thought is if its reccomended for the 6br, than the same would apply to the dasher?? The whidden would also allow me to really dial in how much the shoulder is set back (all FL dies really)
On fireforming, only thing I really want to stay away from is the cream of wheat. Certainlly do not mind making the false shoulder if thats the way to go, but the load and shoot is appealing too,,,,,,whats the most popular method?
Thanks guys, have some time, action still needs to be made, but think I have the barrel figured out! Plan is to keep running my 260 for the last 4-5 F Class shoots I have this year. And have the rifle ready to do load work late fall, still have a stock to make too. But wanted to get set up to reload for it
