Point of impact changing on my 30BR

I am shooting my 30BR at 300yds , Shooting good groups , problem is when I go to use the gun in a couple days , it wants to shoot about 4 inches high , from when I used it last, sucks when you go to a shoot .
Nesika action glued in to a carbon fibre stock , new 1-17 Krieger barrel , 34.2 grns H-4198 , 205 fed primer , 112 grn bullet ,seems to do the same with all makes / weights , 45X leup scope .
any ideas or suggestions .

I have never seen this. a slight POI is not unusual (temp, humidity, wind) but never seen 4"

How do you store/transport your rifle? Is the scope setting the same? could you have rolled the windage turret that far?

Do you use kroil or some other type of oil after you clean? Do the groups stay high or do they come back after fouling?

I can think of a few possible causes:

1. Does it do this after every bore cleaning or only after it hasn't been shot for a couple days? If the former, does it go back to the old point of impact after fouling? If so, it's just a typical fouling issue and not insurmountable.

2. If it's not a fouling issue, it may be that the sand in your bags shifted around during transport and needs to get resettled via recoil by shooting a few rounds. I've found it takes a few shots with my 30BR at the beginning of the day to get the sand settled to where the POI will be consistent, but once it does it shoots to where it did the last time I shot it.

3. You've probably already done this but I'll mention it anyway: check the screws on the rings and scope base. I doubt this is the issue, though, because if it were it would probably manifest itself throughout the day and not just at the start.

4" high at 300 yards is a little over 1 minute, and that could easily be a fouling or bag issue.

Thanks for all the comments / information , I live in Ontario and do my 300yd shooting in New York State.
seems like only time I have this problem is when I go to NY, Have checked rings/mounts etc , Speedy suggested it may be laying the rifle on its side and travelling for 4 hours , suggested putting gun in up right position for the trip, I sight in at home in evenings , and shoot down there in mornings , one guy said that could cause some problems , just a thought , gun shoots good , just wants to shoot high , pain having to re sight at the shoot , my 6ppc does not have that problem down there , going leave gun sighted as is till next shoot in NY and see where it impacts ,

This seems like a scope/mount issue. You may want to try the Tony Boyer method of mounting a scope. Bed the bases to the receiver and the scope into the rings. If it is the "transporting on the side" issue it will also indicate a scope/mount problem.
