Have you guys found a point of aim change while wearing your hydration backpacks??
on Monday I was consistantly shooting high- all the time i have the camelback on and I'm wondering IF the pack straps might have had an influence on my hold or body position or huh??
I haven't shot a powder burner much in the last 2 years from being crook and A LOT of my misses were because I didn't follow through properly- but almost all of them went high.
I shot at several rabbits at the 100-120 metre range and they were all missed high- the guy spotting for me said- all shots dead inline but high. So I wound my scope down an inch and still missed high
The other guy spotted a rock in the paddock for me and ranged it at 189 M using the laser.
Holding dead on the rock I was about 4 inches low- that just didn't make sense
With the load I was using winding the scope down an inch and then shooting 4 inches low at 189 M means that my +1.5 @100Y was right on in the first place.
before I wound the scope down I aimed at the bottom of the eye of a rabbit at 120 odd meters- should have meant I took the top off it's head off- not shot through the top tips of it's ears.
My ear muffs rest on the stock when shooting and when I let off the shot I could hear the springs from the bi-pod resonating through the plastic stock after the shot- could using a bi-pod for the shots have caused me to shoot high.
I dont think I was flinching- it was only a 6BR- but it might be possible- 2 year without shooting a powder burner- I dont think i would go down hill that fast?
Last time I shot a powder burner at the range- it was my 6.5x55 and it opened my stiches up and I had to get re-stitched- but that was 8+ months ago.
what do you guys think??

P.S.
Now I swapped over to a HB 204 Tikka T3-,wonderfull rifle) that one of the other blokes was using- AND I STILL SHOT HIGH-
Now maybe I wasn't appreciating how flat these 204's shoot as I did hold half inch up the rabbits ears a few times and thats where the shot went- but they were 200+ metre shots so a little bit of fall should have been expected.
