hopefully a quick question
. On any given day at the range would you expect 1" POI change (verticle only...windage couldn't be better) at 200yrds? (this is all with hand loads)
The reason I ask is - I went to the range and shooting from a bipod and sand sack lying prone my POI was 1" lower at 200yrds. I had this happen once before with a different brand of scope and sent it away...they fully rebuilt it....the current scope is an NXS 5.5 - 22 X 56.
However in this case shooting from a bench and cranking elevation from 200yrds thru to 500yrds everything is fine....so maybe shooting prone can easily vary POI by 1" at 200yrds on any given day???
In terms of weather the two groups have been shot less than 1 month apart but at the same time of day so temp etc variances are minor.
I will go back up again and repeat the test, however I am interested in your experiences.
Thanks in advance.
