Please pray for Stan Taylor

I am very sad to hear this news of Stan's passing. I was hoping for recovery as many of us were. It deeply touches me. Being from W.Va, Stan and I spoke many times on the phone while he was at home and while he was at work. We spoke of the hills of W.Va. and our pride of being true West Virginian's. Stan told me of when he was in the Marine Corp. and when he finished his tour, how he could not wait to get back to the hills. W.Va would be proud of Stan Taylor representing her in the way he did.

I had planned on heading up that way for the tour that Stan told me he would take me on of Douglas Barrels. Stan was a true asset to Douglas Barrels, and I know that Douglas Barrels will be lost without Stan opening the doors in the early AM hours as he did. Stan was proud of Douglas Barrels and after all of his years at Douglas, he still had pride in going to work. Stan had me wanting to go to work for Douglas Barrels myself and I have just retired. I will miss hearing the nickname that Stan called me, BigBoy. It was my honor to have known Stan Taylor.

My prayers continue for Stan's family. May God help them through this loss. May God Bless the family. They know that Stan is now in Heaven.

God Bless "Stan the Man"

BigBoy

I only knew him through this forum, but you can get a feeling for a man through his words and the respect he has from others. A good man and a great loss, my prayers for his family and friends.

I didn't know him personally either, only through a few interactions on this forum and reading everything he posted or commented on. I will certainly miss his wisdom and will keep him and his family in my thoughts and prayers.

This is sad news. I only dealt with Stan through this forum. He was always helpful and had an edge that kept you smiling. As stated above, we all should reflect on our personal salvation, because we all have to leave here at the appointed time.

Stan is in a better place. My prayers are sent for peace of mind for his family and friends.

Rest in peace Stan, if anybody that knew him and his wife real good he was supposed to make me a .308 barrel for me there at his house I guess, he was supposed to have it ready at the end of last month but I never heard from him,so I don’t know if he finished it or not?
he made me a 6.5 creedmoor the month before, only shot it 18 times but looks like it’s going to be a shooter for sure!

Never meet Stan, but I found myself reading almost all of his post ! I had commented on needing a couple of bolt handle’s attached, he pm me about sending them to him and he would take care of me, I never got around to it, but the message back in forth told me he would do a Great Job and it would probably be very cheap or nothing at all ! RIP Stan” I will miss ready your post ! Heaven gained a angle !
