please help

was cleaning my rifle the other day and had the bolt out accidently droped it on the table not a long fall but the firing pin went off and now it obviously wont go back in the rifle what should i do.thanks

What kind of rifle? Centerfire or rimfire? What manufacture?

Sounds as if the bolt moved to the "fired" position. We need to know the make and model so we can instruct you in "recocking" the bolt.

the rifle is a cooper pheonix mod 21 in 6mm ppc.

You need to get a grip on the striker and pull back and turn it so it's back in the groove again. You can catch the leading edge on a hard flat surface and pull and turn at the same time, and it should pop back where it belongs. Get a disassembly tool for the bolt if you can as that would help, and they need internal cleaning from time to time anyways.
