Plastic Ammo Bins

What plastic ammo bins (100 ct) to you recommend? And where is the best place to buy in bulk?
Rubbermaid Seal Top containers
All other brands just suck with the lid
I have bought and tried most every other brand and it was a waste of money, even at $1.00
Rubber Maid is the brand
Dollar Store of some sort
---
My dad would buy lunchmeat in similar containers with the lids
and then use those for brass

shopping

For the field, not storage. My bad.

i use MTM 50 rnd boxes for individual round divider type. lately for bulk ihave been using glass jars from food products. i know their is breakage risk but they have been okay so far and the peanut butter plastic ones are dandy. if i was to go on say a trip where i needed 1000s of rounds of bulk id use ammo cans.

I like MTM Case-Gard. True hinge for the lid, available in 50 or 100 round sizes, various sizes for both pistol and rifle. And relatively inexpensive.

I then use a small range bag to put them in for range trips. Easiest way to do it for my situation.

I use MTM or Frankford Arsenal style from Midway, etc. They work fine. 5-7$ each. I have 3d printed some for cheaper than that.

I had a 3/4 full 100 round magnum MTM tumble down a half flight of stairs. Surprisingly, never popped open. I also use cut sheets of matress foam in the lids to lock rounds in place. Re mic'ed a few and shot some on next trip out...no change. Just saying...

I like the foam idea. Good thinking!

MTM for everything (50 and 100 rounders). They stack well and accumulate like rats. You can order direct and get a couple more colors and occasionally better prices.

At first, I ordered the MTM branded foam and I found 1/2" isn't enough for certain calibers. Since I had to cut it anyway to fit the boxes, I just ordered 3/4" foam from Amazon in sheets. Every MTM box I have (a metric ST) has foam in the lid.

The R100 boxes with 308's, 1/2" is plenty though.

Would you have the Amazon link for the foam, Thanks .

I have MTM 100- and 50-round cases that are over 25 years old, and they still work perfectly. That said, I prefer the newer MTM boxes, they have a hinged lid and a more secure clasp.
