Pistol red dot.

I'm not a pistol shooter but just got a gp100 in 327. I was thinking of putting a SRO 2.5 MOA on it.
Just mainly for plinking. I've never shot a red dot before. Opinions on a red dot on a revolver?

I have this one on a 629: HE507C-GR X2 Holosun 507C Reflex Sight (Green Dot). My brain picks the green up quicker than the red. 20221013_054605.jpg

I am NOT a pistol shooter (well not an anything shooter for that mater) and need all the help I can get. Burris fast fire on Taurus 44.

If your not a pistol shooter and start with a red dot or RMR sight, you won't know the difference of shooting one without it. I've never used one on any of my pistols and put one on my 10mm a few years back. It definitely takes getting use too. I couldn't shoot and aquire my target nearly as fast. I wouldn't use it for any kind of defense pistol for the first year until I got familiar with it. It makes me a more accurate shooter over all but it was a slow learn for a defense sight.

I own Vortex, Trijicon, and several Holosun MRDS. My vote, hands down, goes to the Holosuns. The auto-brightness is (usually) great. The shake awake feature is awesome. The ability to change the battery without removing the optic is innovative. Many models offer different reticle choices with the push of some buttons. Green is fantastic. Solar back-up is sweet.

The list keeps going on & on.

Havin' tooted HS's horn, I will say that the new Trijicon looks very, very promising.

Here's a few of my little ported pals. :)
