I have seen a piloted version of a Forstner bit and cannot for the life of me remember where! I have some aluminum stock and am in need of a 9/16" version, any help greatly appreciated, Tim

I've got mine from enco. If you don't what to buy one let me know I may could help
The ones I got are called aircraft counterbore I believe. They cut wood and glass stocks very nice

Confusing which pilot works. There was a comment that a 5/16 pilot for Remington stocks, but are they on the same page?

5/16 works for the most of them. You can always make them with your lathe
Page 70 I believe

Thanks for this great info, the Enco Co, was out of pilots in the 5/16 size, so I looked at McMaster Carr and all was in stock, I placed the order there, thanks again, Tim

I've ordered a few things from this place

They seem to have a large selection.
