Pillar bedding vs standard bedding

Just bought a CZ-527 Varmint in 204 Ruger. Took it out and shot it in windy field
conditions. Regardless of it shooting well,I decided to have it bedded . Question of pillar bedding came up,it has a wood stock ? Should I pillar bed it or just a standard bedding job ?

I have experience with four different 527's in the 204 Ruger and all shot extremely well without bedding, not sure I would mess with it. But if you really want to then I would get some Devcon and just use that. No pillars are needed.

In addition to the above, remember the primary reason for pillar bedding.

It prevents you from compressing the stock material as you replace the barreled action into the stock. The action and bottom metal always return to the same position and relationship to each other because you can't compress the aluminum. You might find that over time you are continuing to tighten the action screws, which is a sure sign you need pillars. But, as is often pointed out, opinions vary.;)

Regards.
