Piezo CIP or Piezo SAMMI?

When I went to Quickload to check out some proposed test loads for my .308 Win using the Berger 185 Juggernaut,
I see that there are two cartridges listed - .308 Win CIP and .308 Win SAMMI and they are different Max pressures. Could someone enlighten me as to the difference, how do you know, and which I should be using? The manual was useless to me in this respect. Thanks!

CIP is the European standards association for sporting arms, SAAMI is the US association. The CIP 308 max chamber pressure is 415 MPa which converts to 60,191 psi. The SAAMI 308 max is 62,000 psi. That's not a real big difference,just 2 different groups coming up with 2 slightly different standards. I used Google and found this info on Wikipedia. You can take it or leave it.

European CIP NATO pressure standards are measures at the case mouth, U.S. SAAMI pressure standards are measured at mid case.

Example .223/5.56

52,000 cup SAAMI copper crusher
55,000 psi SAAMI transducer
62,000 psi European CIP NATO pressure standards

NOTE, all three pressures above are the exact same pressure measured three different ways.

If you look you will find three pressures for the .223/5.56 in Quickload so throat length "may" enter into the pressure readings also. So see if there is a 7.62 NATO entry also.
