Picture say it all....

Last sundays P dog shoot, yea 100s & 100s laid out.
Top one was 537 yards 50g vmax, .223, bottom 55g NVG, 22-250 at 567 yds, big exit difference.
Both were our longest shots. Approximatly 600 rounds from 8am to 615pm.
I had 1 area 200 yards long maybe 75 yards wide that had 80+ p-dogs in it. That was darn sweet, pal should of got that on video, but he was sweeping an area behind me. I could not load my mag fast enough. Perfect when dialed in and the late afternoon dogs are out in swarms feeding, hardly running when 1 next to them flopped in the air. My best shooting was from 4pm till we left and I ran 41 rounds just sweeping the area. All you could hear was PPPPffftttt.....THWACK from my suppressor. Average distance that afternoon was 167 to 200 yards, so all I needed to do was dial up to 180 yards and hold on bodies in that range.

What can I say here, just buckets full of the pups. Best were 8 off 1 mound, me shooting left side bunch, pal on right side buch, they wouldn't stay in 1 group, but no matter they are gone.

I used to hunt Prairie Dogs 12 miles east of Dalhart, Texas. One of the fields we hunted in literally had thousands of them in. But within a few hours of the beginning of shooting, we could almost never get a shot under about 375 yards! In the morning, when the wind was low and the Prairie Dogs were close, hit percentages were high. However, once the sun was high and the wind blowing, the "hit-percentages" went real south! For you to have relatively close up shooting all day must be a real treat! I would have loved to had a field or two like that! It must have been great fun!!

you one mean dog killer !

been out twice is all here.....223 AI back up & running...

Current weather cold front rollin' in.........dogs are safe a few extra days...

WY....mountain snow this weekend for you too ? yes May 25th !

^^ yea following days are not going to be good p-dog days.
I was out at a local spot today and only ran 177 shots in 3 towns. Was overcast and windy non stop.
Darn things just would not stay very long up or hold still.
