.22-250 Remington 700 action faced to square, precision ground recoil lug, Brux SS 12 twist #5 contour finished at 24". Only 16 rounds so far for break in, but I think it's gonna work. Posting to test my photo skills here...hope it works.

All 3 of my 22-250 barrels loved 35.2gns of Imr4064 behind any 50gn VMax or 52-53gn match bullet. Shot just like your target there. Congrats!

Is that a stainless finish - or a light color cerakote or other finish? Nice rifle. The critters will love it!

All white cerakote. I thought it would be a bit more durable than a dipped finish. A one off for sure, but just wanted some break up in the snow.

Bought the identical barrel from bugholes.com last year and was so impressed with it that I bought the other 3 they had in stock. All of them have been great, broke in almost instantly and I have yet to see any copper in any of them. And, that's a nice looking rifle BTW.

This is a Bugholes barrel as well. It's the second one I've done in .22-250. They do shoot. Thinking on a .204 next, but Brux is out of the equation on .20 cal barrels. So, looking hard at Krieger I guess. I think I mentioned "rabbit hole" somewhere in these forums.

My Hart 1:9twist 20 Vartarg shoots VERY well. I'd not hesitate to get another Hart.

I'd recommend the 20 Vartarg. It shoots every bit as good as any of my 22-250 barrels. I consistently have shot smaller with it at 300yards than I was ever able to with my slow twist 22-250s. Biggest advantage of the 20 Vartarg: lack of barrel heat. You can shoot long strings between cool downs.

Thanks for the input Evan. I have been sifting through all of the .20 cal variations and considered the 20 prac as well...don't know yet. Also did a surf of the Hart website...looks great. Biggest issue right now is lead times, but, I'm in no hurry, so just a matter of getting one on order. Haven't pulled the trigger yet...need to let the wheels turn a bit... I'm primarily a predator/varmint guy, but as you know...always chasing that tiny tiny little group.

Hi Joe, I've been watching bugholes...all the 11 tw in the contour I'm looking for are out of stock and have been for a while. I would probably order one if they were in stock, may just wait for them to get more in. That is definitely an option for sure. Great guys at Southern Precision.

Thanks for the info furharvester. This is a 12 twist and was kind of thinking about going to a 55gr...we'll see. My load workup has slowed considerably as of late...kind of conserving powder for my known hunting loads. Times is tough.
