picked up my Marlin 60 -? trigger replacements

for those of you who have replaced the std trigger, and or spring set, which one did you use and how did it turn out.

I have read about them and with this one at 6+lb want to "fix" it. took the action out of the stock and see how thing work, so I understand the trigger movement etc.

thanks for your experience.

Do not know if you are seeking a trigger this light but here is a link to a guy that is soon to get my trigger to Marlin 7000T .

Please let me know how it comes out.I modified mine but it could be a lot better.I have had one or two of these since I was about 8 years old(a long time ago).I really like those little guns.My most recent one really likes the cci stingers.I can hit a pop can out at 76yards fairly consistently with them. Not bad for a budget priced rimfire.Oh mine is the model 60 with the open bolt design.

I got my 60 and took if to the range with a non descript scope and the 6lb trigger, surprise, I got sup 3/4 group at 50 with 3 different ammo and one group with cci mini mag about 1/2.

I have ordered the spring kit and the adjustable trigger to get rid of the travel
I also purchased the Leopold Rimfire 2-7x 28mm scope from Cabelas and will take the rig to the range once all is installed.

I will keep you posted as to the results.

Model 60 can get a 16 ounce trigger. It is called the KAT and available from marklener@aol.com. Great product - $81.00 complete. Will only do 24 ounces for a 795. Great guy to deal with.

i have shot a lot to 2oz triggers but have no interest in a 1-2lb trigger on my 60

I installed the MCarbo spring kit and the DIP drop in trigger with travel adjustment today,

major change, the travel in 95% gone and I likely could get it all out with a little more work;
the trigger pull was 6lb 8oz from the factory, it is now 3lb 12 oz with the spring kit.

Great improvement. a little polishing and most likely a clean 3lb would be easy to get.

I mounted the Leupold 2-7x rimfire with fine duplex and am going to try to get to the range tomorrow afternoon.

will post the results.

got to the range today, overcast for a short time, a little ground fog, mild wind, then the wind picked up and sun came out, mirage and 8-12 mph 9:00 wind

got it on target with the new scope before the weather change and first groups were < 1/2 " at 50yd with Fiocie and Win match.

then the weather changed and still stayed in the 1/2-5/8" so I think the trigger now at 3+ lb and leupold rimfire scope made a big improvement.
