Picatinny Rail to Replace Sling Stud

I have a Savage LRPV in 6BR that I want to mount an Atlas BT65 bipod to, the Atlas needs to be attached to a picatinny rail. I would like to remove the sling stud and screw a picatinny rail into the same hole where the stud was. Anyone make a rail like this?

Thanks!

I bought one from Atlas for my Bergara. Fortunately, there are two studs and they have machine screw threads. The pic rail attached securly with a couple low-profile #10 cap screws. Your results may not be as good if you have only one stud or it's a wood screw.

Thanks for the responses. I have only one front stud and don’t want to drill the stock so am looking for a rail that will work with just one stud hole.

Thanks.

I have used these for attaching a Streamlight TLR1 to my night rifles. The pin that goes through the sling swivels is way too undersized and if you don't pay attention it can loosen and fall out. I've tried one on a wood stock but I would be worried that a rifle with recoil could make marks in the stock when used with a bipod. Modifying it to use a retaining pin sized to fit the sling swivels hole would make it much more secure I think. It is not for a flat bottom stock - don't know of any that are.

I do want to add that I have not tried the BT81 from Atlas; I am speaking only of my experience with the Lion Gear.
