Pardon the ignorance, but is this what you put under the front of the forearm say on a standard savage laminate stock to give it a 3" wide platform for stability for F-class shooting?

The one I'm looking for attaches to a picatinny rail. They do make one that screws in where the swivel stud goes I believe.

But yes it's about 3" wide to fit perfectly in the rest

Where would one look to get one of these that mounts to the front swivel stud for a Savage 12bvss stock? Thinking it might be easy enough to make or machine one and screw right to the stock!

I made this one out of an old set of weaver style rings and a piece of
3" x 4" x 1/8" aluminum plate. It took less than 30 minutes to put it together.
