Photos Of MDT Oryx Without Plastics

I have a project in mind involving a MDT Oryx Chassis.
I’ve searched just about everywhere, but can’t find any photos of the Oryx without it’s plastic forend and butt .
What I need is to be able to see what’s under the plastics, just the metalwork.
Does anyone have photos of this or would be willing to remove the plastics and take a few photos.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ken

I'll see if I can get a few pics later today. I removed the rear plastic and
carved out a a new one piece bag rider butt for it. It's a pretty simple
straight spine. What's nice is the stock is machined from one solid piece.
I don't think front pics will justify what you want to see, and I just don't want
to take mine back apart. There is quite a bit of machining done to the fore
end to fit the plastic up. I don't know if pics will do you any justice for what
you have in mind. I initially wanted to remove it but would have made my
work more complicated, so I built directly over and thru it. In the mean time,
This is the raw machined butt I did as a prototype. 2 screws removes it in
under a minute.

Pic of the rear spine, and bottom of the fore end . The spine, I cut
off about one inch to fit my project better and shorten the pull
length. The bottom has been cut away some by MDT to fit up
their plastic. I guess they wanted to fancy it up somewhat. I just
did my project over top of it all. Work in progress......

If you email MDT customer service and tell them you need a photo, they'll probably send you one. I had an issue with a chassis and they bent over backwards to help me out.

Only thing under the front side panels are a few screw holes for attaching them. If adding weight up front is your goal a length of 1in by 3/8 thick brass stock just under a foot long fits nicely in the bottom of the barrel channel and can easily be pinned in place with a few screws. Put one in mine, adds 1 1/2 lbs up front. MDT just released new side panels with Mlok slots to attach two of their weights to each side. Just went up on the website recently...check it out.
