Photographers here -- What are you shooting at?

Ever try to shoot dogs at LR? I have modified a foxpro to have a working range of up to 2k.
Lol Yes, I try to but they're too smart and shot at too often where I went that last trip
I had one howl back at me, and it must have been a good mile away, somewhere, over the next hill,
never seen it only heard it
But thats what I go for with Coyotes, long range kills.
its so open, its hard to get them to come closer than 1000 yards which is fine
if they'd stay still long enough for me to get a stable shot off by the time i spot them.
Honestly, I keep trying more for Mtn Lions though, so sometimes if a Coyote does come in, I will still wait and hope for a Lion instead, since if I shoot at the Coyote, any Lion will spook.
Havent got a Lion yet, but have called in enough Coyotes over the years.
So I'll skip a Yote in trade for a Lion one day.
I actually wanna try their meat, I read it's good, like pheasant, (May depend on how hungry you are though)

I've been playing with hundred year old stuff lately, and they're always worth a pic. This one's a Smith and Wesson 32 Safety Hammerless.
This one is pretty pristine compared to most I've seen, and functions perfectly with my whimpy loads. These Smiths are made like a Swiss watch, and prolly sold for 12 bucks or so. The other brands of these guns look like they were made by cavemen compared to the S&W.

Here's another one that I've been resurrecting lately - belongs to a friend - I'll call it the latest wreck in progress. ;)

It's a Stevens smooth bore, chambered in 44-40 Win. It's marked at the breech "44 SHOT". No other model number.

I've got it functional after managing to disassemble and excavate the internals out of the accumulation of rust and bacon grease. I acquired a hammer for it, but still need an extractor. And lest you think that this isn't a serious endevor, here's a result of the wild-cat cartridge that is currently under development. jd
