Photographers here -- What are you shooting at?

Bowling ball mortar isn't mine. Belongs to a Goex black powder dealer. He fired it several times. 1 pound of black and you could watch the ball, went about 400 yds. 2-3 pounds.... 1/2 mile. Previously, over the hill at 700 yds, farmer on the other side didn't like it! Won't do that again...

Forum Boss: That’s a great photo of San Francisco Bay. If you’re curious, the larger island at upper left side is Angel Island. This is a great place for a day hike — there is a trail that goes all the way around the island and there’s a picnic area at the top of the island. From there you can see 360° in all directions. And a ferry runs from Tiburon to the San Francisco city front.

Howdy !

Say…

IF your “ camera “ has a “ bulb “ setting ( holds shutter open for multiple seconds ),
you can place your “ subject “ in a totally dark room; and put the “ camera “ on a tripod.

- “ Paint “ you subject with light from a flashlight, while shutter is open…
- then… close the shutter.

It only takes a few seconds for the subject (example, rifle ) to be given enough
illumination for a recognizable image. After a couple of tries using this photography method, you can come up with some really cool lighting effects.

Have not researched whether/which cell phones have the held open shutter capability ?
