Stumbled upon the wild mustang grave site in a remote corner of my world

Razor…an ole cowboy must’ve really loved This old horse to go to the extent to bury him

Younger generations of mustangs still frequent this same area

Pinyon Jays show up 2 or 3 times a day. This is one of 3 stations for them. We go thru a lot of bird seed with the drought and have to fill up the bird bath often

This is Turkey Hill where the world record archery elk was taken a few years ago. On the other side is Old Rt 66. On the other side of that is I-40 and next to that, is Walnut Canyon National Monument. There is a game tunnel under I-40 to Walnut Canyon and that is the migratory game trail for the elk. They come through Turkey Hill. Thirty years ago none of those homes where there. The Rio De Flagg creek runs thru. The land was part of a ranch that was sold to developers. The story of the west!

About fitting’ through the pole barn door….

My wife has a cousin who is a “ superfarmer “.

He outfitted his pole barn with aircraft hangar-style free span doors, that fold up and store overhead. The barn is so large, he put 7 welders in it; so he could minimize having to walk too far to access one.

You can see the thing from well over a mile away.

Yup. Here too. This is a pit that usually accommodates 1-300 yard shooting. That water is from Thursday night. About 4 ft deep

Driving through Nevada
Saw this, the tree was full of them, at first I thought from a distance....Buzzards
Then as I got closer say maybe 20 eagles, never seen such a thing except maybe in Alaska
Never seen them in that tree again neither, must have been migrating or mating season
It was January
Of course having a new 60x zoom digital Nikon
I stopped for awhile to take a few pictures of the most visible two.
The Bald eagle on the right is still a Juvenile, head hasn't turned completely white yet

This is a picture of where I shoot 300, 500 and 100 yards. You can see the 500 yard spot on the tracks. above that where the black line is the 800 yard spot. To the left, under the black line is the 1000 yard spot in the top of the yellow flowers

As soon as the sun hits the flowers, they will fold up. Morning walk this morning. It's some kind of Four O Clock flower but not supposed to grow this high up.
