Photographers here -- What are you shooting at?

Here is something a little (small) different. This was from the UBR Nationals last year just outside Junction City, KY. This little guy was in the gravel parking area just to the right and rear of the firing line. In between relays I picked him up and relocated him to the pond right nearby.

Little baby snapper.

I have found a few of those baby snappers over the years. A couple were still soft and had the “egg tooth” on their nose. Pretty cool little characters.

Anybody tried turtle soup?? jd

No but fried and simmered in the oven is great. You know, 7 different kinds of meat.....they all taste good. I used to trap snappers in the summer and sometimes use a steel rod to find them under the ice in the winter.

In your pic above, the lower snapper stinks too much to eat. A normal snapper could be put in a cattle tank to help clear up the smell. No him.

Rolled into my pasture very early to cut grass around shooting bench, target area and lane. Left an d gassed the mower and washed it off and came back to shoot a few rounds.

Got to the east fence and saw a flock of turkeys on the neighbors farm. Set up, shot, loaded up. Was headed out and found the flock crossing my pasture. Guess shooting doesn’t bother them….

Ditch at Rock Bridge, Red River Gorge, KY. My grandpa lived right here as a youngster in early 1900’s when extensive logging was taking place. Logs were floated down to Clay City which had the 2nd largest sawmill in the country at one time. The old growth trees are still something to see. We just walked 9.52 miles this trip.
