Peterson brass

I got 500 .243 to shoot in my 6CM (Competition Match) and 500 .308 for in my Palma rifle this year, and I love the brass. I have had no issues with the brass, and it has actually made my brass prep quicker and easier. I just received my second 500 pieces of .243. I don't think I will ever shoot any other brass again. I've been to the building, and what they go through is remarkable, not to mention the people there are all fantastic.

What we have noticed and heard from customers is that you will have to drop between .5-1 grain when switching from Lapua. Just keep an eye on your velocities and look for pressure signs. We are here to help in any way that we can. So please reach out with any questions or concerns.
Why such 0.5/1gr. variation? Less internal capacity?

Yea, I like the boxes, and they probably work great for a lot of applications, but they are about .250 short of working for an F-TR bullet case, something they may want to consider on the next purchase of boxes.
Agree! I think that 99.9% of .308 Palma cases’ customers are F-TR shooters, therefore they would be very glad of reusing Peterson boxes!

Why is that? Decreased internal dimensions? I tried a lapua large rifle primer load 43 gn and stepped it down a little 42.8 gn and despite 308 velocities in the 2635 range with H4895 blew two primers and had difficult bolt lift in most of the others. Guess I need to step it down more.
200.20x's in FTR reamer with .190 freebore. Happy to hear your suggestions.

I am using Peterson cases to shoot FTR. Have been using both 180 JLKs and 200.20Xs, Varget and CCI BR4 primers. I have not weighed or sorted cases. All the prep I did was run the expander mandrel through the necks and chamfer inside and out. I noticed zero difference before or after fireforming. I have shot x ring elevation out to 1200 yards with 15 and 20 shot strings and it has stood up to it beautifully. Supply is a bit sporadic down here in oz, but I will be buying another 1000 cases as soon as they are available.

Where can you get this brass in OZ?

All I can say is..... you can't go wrong using Peterson brass. I purchased 100 rounds of the 6.5 Creedmoor SRP brass and it is shipped safe and secure in a plastic hinged boxed topped with a foam spacer, impressive to say the least. My chamber requires neck turning so I started out by running the necks in a bushing die then using my K&M mandrel to punch any imperfections to the outside. I then set my K&M neck turner to just a light skim maybe a half thou or a little more just to check for imperfections and to my amazement every case cleaned perfectly just by skimming, 100% true, no skips even at a half a thou.

Now not naming any of the other manufactures XXXXXX when attempting to turn the new cases this lightly you'll always end up with a half turned case ( one side turned the other side not even scratched) revealing all the imperfections.

I went on to fire form 50 of these cases to my chamber and I used my same recipe which is a light load of H4350 / BR4 and all 50 shot little bitty groups at 100 yes.

Answer is YES I'll be using Peterson brass in a lot more of my rifles. All I can ask for is please make the 6 BR brass.

The only place in Australia that supplies Peterson Brass is Melbourne Gun Works, but they have none in stock now until next year. Precision Varminting is bringing in Alpha brass, but I'm not sure how much he has left. I try to buy brass in lots of 1000 because supply is so erratic.
