Peterson 6.5 PRC brass quality and consistency?

Just after some feedback from anyone out there who may be running Peterson 6.5 PRC necked up to the 7-6.5PRC? Lapua brass prices are spiralling out of control in Australia right now, with Lapua 6.5 PRC brass now more than $400 per 100 cases. Peterson isn't cheap at $320 per 100, but it's a damn sight more affordable than Lapua.

I have experience with Peterson 284 brass which I like a lot, but most of the reports I see of people running 7-6.5PRC run either Lapua or ADG.

If anyone has tried Peterson, or currently running it, I'm keen to hear how it stacks up in terms of consistency, longevity and how the measurements of the brass are in respect to being aware of clickers etc.

The peterson brass ive used has been excellent. Necks never varied much, under .0005
I have been using Peterson brass in a 6BR and their “Palma” style 308 brass and put the Lapua aside. I have never regretted it and their 6.5PRC necked up I would expect to be just as good.
Saying that, I have both some Lapua brass and ADG that are awaiting a build but at this point I am leaning toward the ADG as it is ready to go brass aside from a neck turn skim to standardise thickness.

I've used some Peterson 6.5 PRC brass and they've done just fine, but I've only got 4 firings on them so far. Have done more with Peterson .308 brass (having 14x firings) and they've done as well as my Lapua brass. As for the PRC brass, there's a couple notable differences. . . being the Peterson brass has a thicker web and deeper primer pockets than Lapua's. Here's a comparison data I've put together that you might find of interest (V=Virgin, F=Fired):

How is your Peterson holding up at the .200 line so far? And out of interest, what re-sizing die did you go with?

As I mentioned, I've only got 4x firings on them so far. They look really good. When fired, they measure .532 and after sizing they're at .5315. With that little movement, I expect they'll last a long time even though my loads are a little on the warm side where I'm pushing Berger 140's and 142 SMK just over 3,000 fps.

And out of interest, what re-sizing die did you go with?
I use a Forster non-bushing FL sizing die without the spindle then follow up with a Cortina expander die. I really like the Cortina die for expanding as it hugs the case tight (almost feel like it's sizing the case at the 200 line. . . see rub marks on those cases) making for more concentric results.

The Cortina expander die does resize the base.
That's what I thought when I first used it. But upon taking measurements with my Mitutoyo caliper, I could find no change from what my Forster FL die does . . . at least, none that the caliper is capable of detecting. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

From what I understand, and have seen on here previously, I believe @Sandstorm runs the SAC die which does size the base, and is more gentle on the shoulder due to the die/bushing design.

He advertised them as sizing the base. Maybe the Forster die is already sizing them down close to what the Cortina die does.
