Pet Loads for Savage VLP .204?

My buddy is going to help me reload some 204 for my praire dog trip. Can you guys post some of your pet loads for the VLP? He's got all the equipment but I'd like to avoid having to buy 10 different powders, primers, cases etc to find something that works well. I'd like to hear from you VLP owners to see if I can find common components among your favorirte loads in this rifle. I'm leaning towards the 39 g Sierra Blitzkings as I'd like to go a little heavier than the 32 g. He also has a lot of Winchester brass so I'd definitely like to use it.

Thanks

I know someone will have different powders to use but I used Reloader 10X with 35 and 40 gr bergers with BR4 primers. It is a little dirty but it shot in the 1s all day. Had good results with the 39 serrias also. That is the best load for my barrel but every barrel is different but this would be a good staring point for you.

My favorite 204 load was always 29.5/BLC in a Win case...Rem BR primer and a moly 40 V max...came out @ 3880 fps and looking for fur...I always used the 40 V max...starts a little slower but retains energy & fps better than the 32s...BLC drops in the 20 caliber neck just fine...although not an 'Extreme' powder..I never had problems in warm weather....

Great, keep them coming. Just got back from the range. My buddy gave me a load he made up in '05 when the .204 was newer.

It's 32 g Hornady Vmax, Win brass, CCI primer, 26.2 g of IMR 4064 2.350 The
good news is the group

The problem is he said it only tested at 3700 fps. That's giving way to much up in FPS and weight...

I jam as much BL-C2 into a case as I can fit,30.5 grains), on top of a CCI450 and plug it with a 40 grain Vmax.

The powder meters finer than sugar... I love it.
