Pet loads for .221 Fireball?

Components are expensive so I'm looking for a good load to start with and tweak. Gun is a Remington XP-100 with 10.5" barrel. 1-14" twist. Thanks, James

I like CFE Black with 40 and 50 grain bullets but that's in a factory REM 700 VSSF 22" rifle barrel. Dont have any experience with 10" barrels. With CFE Black, Hodgdon web site shows starting loads of 18.8gr on 40gr bullet and 17.9 on 50gr bullets.

This is what I've settled on for rock chucks and work in the rat patch with my 221 "Furball".

I get the same results using RL-7, but I'm saving all of that I've got for my 20VT.
Great little underrated caliber. HTH
