Personal Electronic Target for practice?

Who has one and can you comment on your experience as to ease of set-up, reliability of wireless connection and cost. Feel free to PM me if you do not want to discuss on a public forum.

I have a Bullseye target camera that I used at 300 and 600 yds. so far. Its great for practice and works great, you dont have to pull targets or walk down to the target, they have added alot of updates that are really useful, grid system, talks back to you as how many clicks you need to adjust after your shot to hit the X , mark your shot, save the session and so on.
I have had mine for 3 yrs. now and it works great..load workup and practices sessions

I also got a bullseye this summer. Cost me a fortune and got the worst service I’ve ever experienced ....... what an episode . Works good at 100 yards ,by times at 300 and nothing beyond that and it’s the long range one ....I do not recommend that camera !!!!!!

If moneys isn't the deciding factor and can swing the cost get a Silver Mountain e target For testing. It brings a whole new dimension to decipher the little changes in load development .

I have two different cameras already. I would like to investigate an E-target.

jhop....do you have one? How easy is it to transport/set-up? Cost? I don't mind spending a little money...heck..I could sell the two cameras and make a little dent in the cost:D.

I went in with 5 others on a SMT, it's been great all around. The sensors slip easily into brackets that are permanently mounted on a target board. Takes a little longer than setting up paper targets but is far superior to paper. I've used it for 600 yd load development mostly but it will get a lot of use now for practice and to help with my wind reading skills.

Our Club has a Long Range Bullseye Target Camera system and it has worked well. We have only used it out to 300 yards. the range has a Clear Line of sight. Looking forward to hearing from others who have used it out to 600 yards...

Thanks

The first one I bought wouldn’t work at all ...I paid 1000.00 Canadian so I called their customer service in Salt Lake City they told me I had to ship it at my cost to the states and they would fix it ... it cost me another 60 dollars and it was gone for a few months and after many excuses and lies they sent me back another that was obviously a second hand one that was probably returned by someone else .... they charged me another 140.00 Canadian to ship it back . Long story short I now how a camera that I got 1200 dollars invested in and only works consistently at 100 yards. I’m extremely disappointed and Disgusted with this company !

Thanks Craig. What was the cost if you don't mind my asking?

I w

as going to buy a target vision before I bought the bullseye . But bullseye looked so much more simple but now with the terrible experience I had with bullseye I wish I had now .

I emailed silver mountain.. Its pricy, but seems like a quality deal. not sure how they all compare..

target vision, from what I gather... is nothing more than a camera system. Its not an electronic target at all...

I've had a Silver Mountain e target for three years. My only regret is I should have bought one sooner. It is great for load development and training/practice. I have had a few glitches, mostly my fault. Wayne has been very helpful when I needed him. If an electronically challenged shooter like myself can use it, anyone can. It takes longer to drive to the 1000yd target on the 4wheeler than it takes to set it up.

Bought a G2 SMT system late in 2015, used it extensively in ‘16 & ‘17. Expensive? Yes, but so is wasting time & opportunities for practice when I couldn’t arrange for a target puller. Makes everything I shoot (save for smallbore & pistols) more valuable to me so the cost - essentially that of a new custom build - wasn’t particularly painful.

There’s a learning curve for set-up & use (true with anything new) while improvements in system capabilities added with (free, so far) software updates have made it more accurate, reliable and easy to use since the day it arrived.

I bought my SMT in early 15. I can't tell you how many people have shot with me on the target. I have had 1 sensor fail the cost was $100.00. Wayne and Dan have been there for every issue and they were most often user caused but Wayne always answered the phone and sent you back down the correct path. I would not give up my SMT.
