Perfect Action for a Hunting Rifle.

If you could build yourself the perfect action for a Hunting Rifle for non dangerous game, what features would you like to see incorporated in the design?

Well, I'm very satisfied with a Blueprinted 700 short w/ a Rifle Basix RB V-1 Trigger Assy. Got several set-up that way so switching rifles is a nonissue.

It needs to feed slick as all get out. Shooter can flick the bolt open and closed quickly, without disturbing their aim. I like a three position safety like that on the Win Model 70: safe/bolt locked, safe/bolt unlocked, and fire.

A good gas vent system to keep the shooter safe, should a primer fail or a case rupture.

I like controlled round feed for even non-dangerous game animals, but it's not a deal-breaker.

Two locking lugs? Three? I'll settle for two, for ease of operation.

Must have a really nice, adjustable trigger.

Torn on mounts. I do think it would be nice to have built in mounts, but must be capable of having the scope moved fore and aft to meet the needs of a wide variety of shooters.

Hmmm. Got a few that are real close in my gunsafe now! :)

And it sure would be nice if a fellow could swap barrels at home, without the help of an expensive rifle-smith! :D
