Just for the record, I have never voted for, nor have I supported, a progressive. Never will. I HAVE served for 20 years as a civil servant. I just want people to leave me alone and let me earn (or lose) on my own. So when I move to one of those states I hope to vote right away, for the government that leaves me alone and stays small. I hope to leave the gun, labor and environmental BS here in NY.

The biggest fault is the old time democrats still vote for the progressives and vote in tyrants liked governor Mussolini I mean cumo. It sucks but it just like trying to organize workers against a bad supervisor. They are raring to go until the last minute and then stab you in the back at the last minute just like politics. I am a conservative all the way but if a democrat runs and is a true conservative with credentials I will vote for him. Nobody takes a personal stand to go out and vote for a true conservative that sticks to his principals.

I'm too old to even give a dam, So when safe act#2 comes in I should have everything ready for the war! Love this state, always have, Its just the Criminals that are running it that I don't like. And wait till all the Illegals get there drivers licenses, That way they can vote and buy guns. Isn't that the way our criminals in office planned that, so when there Illegals do something, it will be about the gun. Not the Scum bag that done it. When someone comes to this country they should have to wait 21 years to own any gun like I had to. Prove yourself like I had to for 21 years.

I grew up in New York. I crawled in caves in the limestone area around Albany, and shot chucks up and down the Hudson Valley and across the top... it is an outstanding state, above White Plains... but it is run, 99%, by New York City... and that is the liberal, welfare center of the east coast!

I left New York because of the gun laws... came to Connecticut, which was gun heaven "way-back-then", only to run into the same problem all over again.

Quite a number of southern democrats have come to new York and have stayed in politics for decades.

Hell the rest of 'em (from all over the place) have come to Californicate and really done a once nice place IN! Heck we have a new law (if you can believe this) that chickens used to produce eggs commercially, must have room in their chicken coops to move around freely and just about have a 55" color TV to watch while they do whatever chickens do in a chicken coop. Hence the price of eggs has skyrocketed because producers must comply with built bigger chicken coops, etc, etc, etc. And then some brilliant District Court Judge (must be a Democrat -nobody else is that stupid) decided that out of state producers of eggs must also comply with this idiotic chicken coop size law if they want to sell their eggs in Californifcate. Now this and the new Cleaner Air Act that is estimated to add another .50 - .70 per gallon to the already higher than anywhere price of gas, is sure to drive people out of this state. SO I guess anyone in their right mind, best not move here and as far as I can tell, Mexico doesn't even want California back thanks to the Democrats and Environmentalists who've screw this pooch as much as is humanly possible. So New Yorkers are still in somewhat a better place, but IMHO, Arizona is the place to go, which is where I suspect my wife and I will end up when she retires next year. Moving is no simple deed and I'm gettin too old for all these liberal MORONS who still think guns kills people and the IDIOT behind them, is just confused and really a nice guy.

It's friggin' amazing. The liberals run up the cost in their states with free progras, attract tons of welfare folks and run up the taxes, and then higher taxes, then decide the state sucks and move to where??? To a conservative state where the taxes are low and there are few welfare types.

Then guilt over takes then and they repeat the same cycle all over again - they are like cockroaches!

For once I was ahead of my time.I got fed up with NY 30+ years ago and escaped to Colorado. Now,as previously stated the liberals are moving in and trying to change the way of life here to their old state. We got some bad gun laws passed last year that we need to get rid of but it still beats NY by a LOT!
I went back to see my new grandson 2 years ago .I got stuck in LaGuardia airport at midnight for hours before getting out of there.I kissed the ground here on my return.

I live in southern NJ and have for over 30 years. Trying very hard to move to southern Delaware. It is even my New Years resolution. Taxes and more taxes are the main reason. The area I live in is in a death spiral, bad to worse. More and more abandon houses, just hope i can sell this one.

I have noticed that many of the people who left Ca. claim to be conservatives. But they were around such a liberal population that they truly are not. To me the basic definition of a liberal is someone you wants to control how another lives their life. That is a terrible trait to have.
