PENTAX PF80 EYEPIECES

I have the PF65EDII with 20-60x zoom. But have been considering going up to the PF80. Right now I am just using it for Metal targets out to 500 Meters. Based on what I see here, I may try a different eyepiece first.

But, would like to ask, Since the Pentax's can use any 1.25" Telescopic eyepiece, Has anybody ever tried any different brand eyepiece?

That is the best idea due to the fact the lenses will fit all the scope bodies right up to the 100 mm. I have a 65mm and it is great with the fixed eye piece and I use the WX20 for seeing the mirage and flags and it has a huge field of view and works perfect .... the smaller size is great over the 80mm scope, but for seeing bullet holes the 80 wins hands down.... jim
