I disagree. They'll simply round up to the nearest $.05. No big deal for them. It’ll be a cluster flock. I can’t see any business rounding down on a cash sale. It forces buyers into using credit or debit cards. Or checks.
Can’t see local, state, and federal taxes rounding down either.
Keep them pennies, the days of exact change are coming.
It was irritating as hell during Covid to not get your due change.
Also costs more to make a nickel than its worth...Cost more to make a penny than a penny is worth ! So I guess a good call ?
Pennies are not made from copper, haven't been for a long time. That means more copper for bullets.![]()
I love your Red Line.It cost .035 to make a penny. It cost .13 to make a nickel. How long till the nickel is gone? This is only a small step in getting rid of cash and going all digital, which is what they want. They will have total control of YOUR money and you WILL do what they want or you simply won't eat because they will shut your card off. Mark my words this is not good for us.
And Gold is GOD. 1 oz of gold is worth way more than the same $$ amount printed on paper.Thank you, but I'll use cash as long as it's printed or minted. Cash is KING!
I know, which is why thePennies are not made from copper, haven't been for a long time.
Not trying to be an ass but I just used 3, at the post office no less this week.I can’t even remember when I even had a penny in my pockets never mind using one for currency.
